We have a team of licensed medical instructors with years of experience in patient-centered care. All of our educators have a minimum of five years’ experience in direct patient care.             About Our Medical Education Company

            Apart from being a locally owned physician-backed education company, we are also insured, certified, and registered. We are affiliated with the American Heart Association and the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians.             Physician Director – Teofilo R. Sanchez III, MD

            • ER Director Southwest General Hospital, San Antonio, TX

            • EMS Director Kinney and Val Verde

            • Fellow American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine

            •  Dr. Teofilo R. Sanchez III is a native San Antonian.

            • He attended Jefferson High school and graduated in 1990. Dr. Sanchez continued his education at Incarnate Word in San Antonio where he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology.

            • He then enrolled at the University of Texas in Houston and graduated in 2000. Dr. Sanchez completed Residency in Family Medicine in 2005.

            •  Dr. Sanchez is an American Academy of Anti-aging Medicine fellow.

            • He is a member of The International Association for Physicians in Aesthetics Medicine.

            • Dr. Sanchez is the ER Medical Director at Southwest General Hospital in San Antonio.

            • He is also the Medical Director of Val Verde and Kinney County EMS.

            RN / Instructor – Patricia Hernandez

            Patricia has been practicing as a nurse for 16 years as a hospital based nurse. She has been practicing as an ER nurse for the past 4 years at NCBH. With a solid emergency nursing background, Ms. Hernandez brings her experience and education to the classroom as an AHA instructor.

            Flight Paramedic / Instructor – Perry Frost, NRP, CICP, FP-C

            Perry Frost is currently a Flight Paramedic with a large national HEMS service and is based in South Texas. Prior to becoming a Flight Paramedic, Perry worked as a 911 Paramedic in a busy EMS service that served a large population on the Texas – Mexico border. He has been a BLS instructor since 2008 and an ACLS / PALS / ACLS EP / PHTLS / AMLS instructor since 2011. Perry has also served as a lecturer and skills instructor for numerous CE, CNE and CME programs and as an instructor for EMT, AEMT and Paramedic programs. Mr. Frost has had the opportunity to create new content for various CE and initial EMS programs and has been instrumental in developing EMS protocols for a number of services. He has also served on several hospital committees where his focus was on emergency cardiac care and the processes surrounding cardiac arrest resuscitation practices both in the field in in the hospital setting and continuity of care between first responders, hospital staff and inter-facility transport agencies.

            Nurse Practitioner / Instructor – Dennis Ong, MSN, RN, CMSRN, NP-C

            Dennis Ong has been practicing professional nursing in the state of Texas for more than two decades. His clinical experience involves working in the areas of medical-surgical nursing, pediatric, telemetry, critical care, and emergency care in various hospitals in Texas. He is currently working as a full time in-patient nursing supervisor. Dennis is originally from the Philippines and obtained his BSN degree from Notre Dame University, Philippines in March 1992.

            Mr. Ong recently completed his MSN-FNP degree from Walden University, Minneapolis, MN in November 13, 2016, with a GPA of 4.0. He is board certified in Family Nursing Practice (NP-C) by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and board certified by the American Academy of Medical Surgical Nurses (CMSRN). Moreover, Dennis has been an ACLS and PALS instructor for the last 19 years, delivering high quality nursing education and mentoring nursing staff.

            Instructor – Lawrence Ervin

            Lawrence Ervin is a Flight Paramedic based in the US/Mexico border. He served in the United States Air Force and worked as a Med Tech there before becoming a paramedic and firefighter in Texas. Lawrence has been teaching EMT/paramedic initial education courses and continuing education courses for more than a decade in South Texas. He has also been an AHA instructor and training center faculty for advanced courses such as ACLS, PALS, and ACLS EP. Lawrence brings over 10 years of both field and classroom experience to ARIES.
